IITF 2011 - Overseas Participants

India Trade Promotion Organisation is organizing the 31st edition of its popular annual event, the India International Trade Fair, in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from November 14 to 27, 2011.

This is the largest integrated trade fair with business to business and business to consumer components. It presents a complete range of products from diverse sectors from major manufacturers, small and medium enterprises as well as craftsmen & artisans in a single platform. It has a large participation of international exhibitors. It is one of the largest trade fairs in the world both in terms of exhibitors and visitors’ participation and has evolved its unique character as an iconic national event. The venue of the Fair is Pragati Maidan, the largest fair complex in the country located in the heart of the National Capital Territory of Delhi with excellent communication infrastructure through road, rail and metro. The unique feature of the Fair is the participation by different States and Union Territories through their own Pavilions or through dedicated areas for joint participation in separate halls. A variety of cultural programmes covering a wide spectrum of the rich cultural heritage of India is also an integral part of the Fair. Large number of food and beverage outlets provide a taste of varied cuisines of the country and the world. It provides a great platform for trade and industry for sourcing, supply, business interactions, technology transfer opportunities, test marketing and market access.

In the recent years, IITF has been giving greater focus on business orientation. To this end, dedicated business visitor’s facilities have been created with an international business lounge, online registration facilities, arrangements for B2B meetings, opportunities for participation in business forums. This has been given a major impetus in the last edition in 2010 by earmarking the first five days of the Fair for business visitors. This arrangement will continue during IITF 2011.
